Attune ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we process, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Data Controller

The data controller for Attune is Jakob Rundgren (sole proprietor), based in Sweden. For questions about data processing, contact us at support@attunebinaural.com.

Information We Process

Attune is designed with privacy in mind and does not require you to create an account.

Local data. Your preferences, favorites, saved custom sessions, and session history are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers. If you delete the app, this data may be removed from your device, though it may persist in device backups depending on your iOS backup settings.

Subscription and purchase data. If you subscribe to Attune Pro, your payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage your subscription status. RevenueCat may process the following data: purchase and subscription entitlement data, an anonymous app user identifier, and receipt validation data. We do not have access to your payment details such as credit card numbers. For more information, see RevenueCat's privacy policy.

No audio or microphone access. Attune generates audio locally on your device. We do not access, record, or transmit any audio or microphone data.

Analytics and usage data. Attune uses Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app. This includes events such as onboarding completion, preset playback, and session duration. No personally identifiable information is collected — we do not track your name, email, IP address, or device identifiers. Analytics data collection requires your explicit consent on first launch and is disabled by default. You can opt in or out at any time via Settings → Share usage analytics. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the EU/EEA, we process data on the following legal bases:

• Contract performance: Processing subscription data is necessary to provide the Attune Pro service you purchased.
• Legitimate interest: Processing minimal data to operate and maintain the app.
• Consent: Analytics data is processed only when you have explicitly opted in via the in-app consent prompt.

Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not display advertisements in Attune. Data is only shared with:

• Apple — for payment processing, in-app purchases, and app distribution via the App Store.
• RevenueCat — for subscription management, as described above. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• Mixpanel — for anonymous usage analytics, only when you have opted in. See Mixpanel's privacy policy.
• Supabase — for hosting visual assets (visualizer videos), app assets, and configuration files. We do not store user personal data on Supabase. See Supabase's privacy policy.

International Data Transfers

Apple, RevenueCat, Mixpanel, and Supabase are US-based companies and may process data outside of Sweden and the EU/EEA. These transfers are covered by the service providers' data processing agreements and appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data Retention

• Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• Analytics data collected by Mixpanel is retained for a maximum of 12 months.
• Subscription data is managed by RevenueCat and Apple and retained as needed for subscription management, billing, and legal obligations.
• We do not store user data on Attune's own servers.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

You can withdraw your consent for analytics data collection at any time by disabling Share usage analytics in Settings.

• Right to access: Contact us to request what data we hold about you.
• Right to deletion: Contact us to request removal of your data.
• Right to withdraw consent: Turn off analytics at any time in Settings → Share usage analytics.
• Right to data portability: Contact us to request a copy of your data.

Since Attune does not require an account, most data on your device is under your direct control. For subscription-related data, you can manage your subscription directly through your Apple ID settings.

Children's Privacy

Attune is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you are under the age of consent in your jurisdiction, please use the app only with the approval and supervision of a parent or guardian.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
